On 12th Oct 2016, Sathiya Yogam – a school of spiritual reality has launched a yoga academy in KK Nagar, Chennai. It was inaugurated by Swami Ramananda Paramahamsa and by Mr. Thaneeru Subba Rao, Co-Founder of Vijaya Timber. Sathiya Yogam’s yoga academy will mainly teach Astanga Yoga and Hatha yoga from beginners to experienced yoga practitioners. All Yoga classes are taught under the watchful guidance of experts all days of the week. It also will offer Aerobics and Zumba classes as well.
During the grand inauguration, Sathiya Yogam also launched a web channel and a free weekly tabloid. The main objective of Sathiya Yogam weekly tablod is to spread spirituality, knowledge about ancient temples, siddhas, and astrological weekly predictions. The Sathiya Yogam web channel (in English, Tamil & Telugu) aims to spread the knowledge about meditation, sadhvik samiyal (yogic food), ancient temples, astrology, kriyas and yogic culture.
Swamy Ramananda Paramahamsa spoke about the significance of Yoga in daily life, and he also said “Everyone has to practice meditation and yoga for better health and happiness”. Mr. Thaneeru Subba Rao spoke about the importance of righteous living and honesty in one’s own profession to reach greater heights. His lifestyle is summed up in three words – Simplicity, Modesty, and Honesty. He appreciated Dr. T. Sathya Narayana Murthy for this intitiative and the facilities provided in the academy.
